In Germany areas benefiting from nature and species protection (with strict conservation status) are the National Parks (NTP), the Nature Conservation Areas (NSG), the Fauna-Flora Habitat Areas (FFH) as well as the European Special Protection Areas for Wild Birds (SPA).
