A settlement body is made up of spatially linked urban sites (geometrical unification of contiguous urban sites of one spatial unit).
An urban site is defined as a contiguous built-up area of at least 10 ha in size or which features a minimum of ten properties (feature type of the ATKIS Basis-DLM).
